The early 80's when we moved to Rolling Hills Estate we were fortunate enough to have moved next door to Dreamazon+++, a beautiful Arabian stallion, whom exemplified true Arabian type. Coming from an art background, we were instantly attracted to the Arabian breed, thus beginning a 20-year love affair with the masterpiece of all horses--the Arabian and more specifically the Gainey bloodlines.
Over the years we have enjoyed seeing the trends--some which we have participated in at times—come and go in every direction. However, they always seem to come back to the Gainey bloodlines. These bloodlines, passed on by industry greats such as Ferzon and his son Gay Parada, have helped produce many champions in all facets of national and regional competition.
Recently we were fortunate enough to have acquired our newest stallion, Bey Shahrado. We can safely say that we fell in love with him the moment we saw his pedigree. Not only was this horse a direct descendent of our beloved Ferzon bloodlines, he was also born from the Bey Abi/Bey El Bey ++ bloodlines, crafted by Sheila Varian, that we've
come to admire. A breeder's horse, Bey Shahrado was tailor-made for any breeding program, whether line-breeding or out-crossing.
True to his pedigree, Bey Shahrado has produced with mares of like breeding and with the most outrageous out-crosses. He has consistently produced size and early substance,
as well as the contemporary style, attitude and motion that has been so competitive in the show ring . More importantly he has been able to retain and enhance the beauty and true Arabian type that has captivated us.
In the past 20 years, we have come to produce one of the nicest selections of Ferzon-bred horses in the world. Our future is the life that has dawned our pastures this past foaling season, the previous two seasons and the ones to come. We are excited about the opportunities of the present and how our breeding program is being elevated to the highest level for the new millennium.
